Meals Project

The “Meals” project is a direct response to the worsening malnutrition crisis in the Gaza Strip, particularly among children, women, and the elderly, resulting from the ongoing blockade, the collapse of the food system, and the loss of income sources. The project aims to provide healthy and balanced meals that meet the daily needs of the poorest and most vulnerable families.

Project idea:
Preparing and distributing fresh and balanced meals containing essential nutrients (protein, carbohydrates, vegetables, healthy fats), to ensure support for public health and combat the effects of hunger and acute malnutrition.

Project Objectives: – To combat malnutrition and prevent related diseases.
– To provide healthy food for children and the sick in areas of food insecurity.
– To alleviate the burden on families who lack the means to secure or cook food.
– To support displaced families living in unsanitary conditions and lacking cooking equipment.

Implementation Mechanism: – Preparing meals in equipped kitchens that adhere to safety standards.
– Distributing meals daily to affected areas and shelters.
– Focusing on vulnerable groups: children, infants, the sick, and pregnant women.

Beneficiary group:
Displaced families, malnourished children, poor families, and those with chronic diseases.

Project message:
“A balanced meal could save the life of a child suffering from hunger and malnutrition.”
